‘WALTR 2’ for macOS Lets You Drag&Drop Any Media Content to Any iDevice
Juli from MacRumors thinks that:
Using WALTR 2, you can drag and drop any music or videos onto an iPad or iPhone, even Apple unsupported media files that are incompatible with iDevices. The app supports books (EPUB & PDF), all music, video, ringtone formats and more, transcoding or converting them when needed. If you drop an MKV or AVI file into WALTR 2, it will convert and transfer it to your iOS TV app for native playback.
It works in the same way with music — drop any song or album you have and WALTR will push it to your Music app without any quality loss. Also, your music will be recognized by Apple Music itself.
WALTR 2 is ridiculously simple. You launch the software, connect your iOS device to a Mac using a USB cable or over Wi-Fi and then just drop any file you desire to transfer into WALTR’s window. By the way, WALTR 2 is fully compatible with all iPads, iPhones and iPods, starting with the very first iPod Classic from 2001.
With ACR (Automatic Content Recognition) for TV shows, movies and music, WALTR 2 fills in all the metadata that’s missing, and a new automatic Wi-Fi feature lets WALTR 2 instantly find iDevices around, so you can transfer any content wirelessly. But if you are using a USB cable, the whole transferring process will go way quicker. Softorino states that the average speed is of 2Gb per minute.
Now the new app also supports EPUBs, PDFs and audiobooks, and after transferring puts them in the native iBooks app. Moreover, with WALTR 2 you can now upload entire ringtones not just the 30-sec short ones. Also, the new app brings support for subtitles in movies. Among the supported music files are: MP3, FLAC, APE, ALAC, AAC, AIFF, WAV, WMA, OGG, OGA, WV, TTA, and DFF, while supported video formats include MKV, AVI, MP4, MOV, MPEG, M2TS, 3GP, WMV, H264, and H265.
