We decided to take advantage of the latest technologies provided by Apple to ensure the best experience for our users. Users with older OS X may still try WALTR but we cannot promise smooth experience.
We think the best feature is the ability to easily transfer ANY Video or Audio files to iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch without worrying if your iPad or iPhone supports that format. You simply drag and drop the file and it’s available for native playback.
What makes WALTR standout is the full list of various video & audio formats that it can comvert and transfer for native playback. We're working extremly hard to support more & more formats on weekly basis, but here's what you can push so far:
Video: MKV & AVI (includes subtitle support: .srt & .ass), MOV, MP4, M4V, 3GP, WMV;
Audio: MP3, FLAC, APE, ALAC, M4R, AAC, M4B, AIFF, WAV, WMA, CUE, OGG, OGA, WV, TTA, DFF;
*Experimental support: FLV, M2TS, TS;
In the end, you can play it from the device’s stock media player. All files are automatically transferred into iOS native Video & Music apps without syncing.
Simply open WALTR and on the top left corner of your screen go to File>Show Notifications and uncheck it. We know that this may get on your nerves, that's why we made it really easy to disable these notifications.
Nope :) We turn all the FLAC files into ALAC files without any quality loss. Since native Music player on the iOS cannot support FLAC files, we decided to simply make the file Apple friendly.
We decided not to implement the feature for removing your files since you can now do this directly from your device. Just select the video or audio file and remove it.
All imported media go straight into your pre-installed Videos.app and Music.app that are developed by Apple. If you transfer a video file, let’s say it will be in the MKV format – it will be available in your native Videos app. If you transfer a song, whether it’s a FLAC file or a regular MP3 – it can be played directly from the native Music app.
In the current release, transferring via Wi-Fi is not possible. At the moment, iTunes wi-fi sync is not stable nor is it fast. It’s actually a bit slow and buggy so enabling this will make your 1 gig movie files take forever to transfer. We do have this planned for future updates.
Sometimes this may happen because your device is not yet paired correctly with that Mac.
This happens because you probably have iTunes Wi-fi sync enabled and 'Automatically sync with iTunes' enabled inside iTunes itself.
It's just that if you have 'music & videos synced' then all content uploaded with any third party app will be removed - this is the logic of general iTunes sync – it overrides everything. To avoid this, please enable the checkbox: 'manage music and videos manually'.
Easy as pie. It's already available for free download. For more information visit the WALTR for Windows page.
In order for the TV show to be displayed in Video app > TV shows, make sure the name of the TV show file corresponds to the rules below:
"TV_Show_Name".S01E01."Format_name"
For example:
Archer.S01E01.mkv
Sometimes this happens. We’re aware of this issue and we’re working hard on a solution.
But, there’s a workaround for this:

In the iOS 10.2 update all the videos you transfer with WALTR 2 go to the ‘Downloaded’ section inside the TV.app (for now TV.app is only available in North America). There 2 ways you can remove them:
First Option:

Second Option (if you have many files to remove):
You can also hit "edit" at the top right corner to make it even easier.

We're working on the fix. It will be updated and working properly very
In the current version, it still varies – but full artwork support will be released in the next few updates.
We’re aware of this issue and we’re working hard on a solution. Please stay patient for a little bit longer :D
